The first, a short novel, follows the experiences of Samuel "Sketch" Thibodeaux as he navigates the odd world of human interaction and morality following the death of his adoptive mother. The subsequent three short stories focus on other characters in this quaint, troubled town.
With elements of southern gothic, magical realism, and psychological literary fiction, Whisper is as much an escape as it is a catalyst for dialogue about identity, society, human bonds, and normative culture. Sometimes the questions we ask ourselves are the hardest ones to answer.
