A couple in Minneapolis has a chance encounter with a mysterious storyteller and his story takes them back in time to an area we know today as Europe.
They are enthralled as they learn the story of Anna and Iacopo.
His story starts with a young orphan named Anna who meets a mysterious young trapper named Iacopo.
