Publisher's Summary

Debut from hugely talented, "naturally funny" comedian Paul Chowdhry.

Tipped as one of the most talented and popular comedians to have recently emerged, Paul Chowdhry is definitely the man to look out for in 2012. With his hilariously dry observational humour he has impressed audiences throughout the UK, leaving fans wanting more, and his appearance on Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week brought him massive critical acclaim and a growing fan base, all of which has led to him being titled the UK’s Number 1 Asian Comedian. Described by critics as "naturally funny", this is the debut you do not want to miss!

Not terribly inspiring

Well, this is from 2012. I guess the context can make a difference. I had seen and heard a bit from Paul on Taskmaster and various appearances since gaining the profile that's given him. This preformance felt a bit derivative. I think he did his gear as well as anyone with similar material does, but the problem is that it's very similar in subject and style to what a lot of people have done before.
He uses the term "bitch" often, and without remark or pay - off. That gets pretty tired too.

Hilarious

Hilarious with plenty to think about, too. Keen and hysterical insights into Indian culture make this a lesson in diversity, too.
