I would give him 6 stars but.....

RC Sproul has helped me with truth about My savior and God in many of his teachings and books that compliment the Gods word, I highly recommend this book because it will give you an amazing understanding of what true Protestantism has taught for hundreds of years and not the kind of Christianity that has no substance or root.

Good Explanation of a Hard Subject

If you could sum up What Is Reformed Theology in three words, what would they be?

Reformed made simpler... As in Reformed Theology for dummies.

What was one of the most memorable moments of What Is Reformed Theology?

Nothing stands out but the concepts are drilled down on to give the lay person a basis for understanding.

What does Marc Cashman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is a good narrator for a dry subject. Not monotonous at all.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Oh no. A difficult subject and requires attention and rereading

Don't Miss it!

This is is excellent treatise of the Reformed Faith. I cannot imagine a clearer presentation of these most needed Biblical truths, expecially in our generation. Listen and live!

Clear and powerful

Reform theology or systematic theology is sometimes hard to understand but R. C. Sproul did a good job explaining it.

Understandable and Concise

Clearly written for the layman, but offers a great deal of depth and historical and scriptural context. It challenges me to dig deeper into scripture and history to discover more!

Impeccable Work by Sproul

Impeccable work by R.C. Sproul. He has this intriguing way of rhetorically expounding on a subject while simultaneously making it easy for the reader to comprehend. Many common misconceptions of Reformed Theology are dispelled with accuracy and relatability. Sproul explains multiple views to the reader while giving biblical, logical, and historical texts as proof to the views he aligns with. Enjoy!

Thi sis stuff everyone needs to know.

Where does What Is Reformed Theology rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's up there. It's accessible to those without formal theological training, yet it's not elementary level either.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

TULIP: P = Perseverance or Preservation, this discussion was particularly interesting

Any additional comments?

Makes me want to read some of RC Sproul's other books.

Weighty Doctrine for a wimpy Christian culture

I remember being set against Calvinists. Believing the strawman arguments I was taught in Christian fundamentalism. But if the strategy of my teachers was to send me out into the world only having faced strawmen, then my own faith crumbled before the light breeze of any opposition. No teaching in the church is more formidable and dominated by God's word than the true unapologetic faith of the reformed variety. It quickens the soul and holds it fast in the most violent maelstrom.

Excellent content, poor reader

Appropriately thorough, but repetitive content. Reader's pervasively pauses in awkward/incorrect places often made listening difficult.

Great introduction to Reformed theology

This is a great introduction to the basics of reformed theology by a well respected theologian.
It is clear and informative. Good book for all who want to learn and grow. The book requires careful listening, so don't rush it unless you have a good grasp of the topics. Personally I think I will listen to it again later :)

The narration is fine, I only wish the pauses between chapters/parts were a little bit longer.
