Zwei Weihnachtsgeschichten in Paris. In einem Polizeirevier blinken am Weihnachtsabend auf der großen Stadtkarte von Paris plötzlich fast alle Lämpchen. Am anderen Ende der Notrufsäule spricht jedoch nie jemand. Der junge Inspektor Janvier muss sich fragen, ob der Serienmörder wieder zugeschlagen hat, der die Stadt seit Wochen in Atem hält. So ungewöhnlich die Jagd nach einem Mörder am Heiligabend, so traurig ist die Gewissheit, dass an den Feiertagen die Selbstmordrate steigt. Als sich in einem Restaurant in Montmartre ein Mann erschießt, bringt er unverhofft zwei Frauen zusammen, die unterschiedlicher kaum sein könnten, und ermöglicht so ein kleines Weihnachtswunder.
