About this listen

With nowhere to go, no one to help her, will Leigh flee into the arms of the one person she shouldn’t run to? Don’t miss this fifth and final installment in the Casteel family saga from the New York Times bestselling author behind Flowers in the Attic and My Sweet Audrina, now major Lifetime movie events.

Leigh VanVoreen had to escape from Boston’s Farthinggale Manor. The foul secret she harbored within her seemed to darken her life forever. Jillian, her mother, would not believe her, and Tony Tatterton, her stepfather, had betrayed her cruelly.

But the pure devotion of Luke Casteel promised her hope and respect. Only Luke knew her deepest of secrets…only Luke would love and protect her. Bravely she bore the suspicions of the Willies’ hillfolk, as she tried to grasp the happiness that had so long eluded her. Leigh prayed with all her heart that her bright, shining dreams would save her from tragedy at last.

i didn't like the whispering from the narrator, sorry. Other than that great book.

great book

I loved this book and how it wraps the casteel series up. However the narration definitely took away the greatness. She whispered most of the story at times almost inaudible.

Great book - bad narration

For some reason the narrator whispered a lot - this made it difficult to modulate volume and I kept having to turn the volume up and down to hear her. Very annoying and difficult to follow because of this.

Narration terrible

The whispering narrator is very annoying and makes it hard to enjoy. Otherwise good book.

Not an enjoyable listen

Great story but the narrator was terrible. Whispered through the whole thing in the most irritating manner. I only got through it because the story is interesting.

Worst narration I've ever come across
