I had a work colleague tap me on the shoulder and ask why I was laughing, work isn't supposed to be a laughing matter, I shook my head and said Brady, which of course made no sense to him but I went on back to the story.

As an 80’s child I’m Absolutely loving this series,
It’s been written solely for the talented R.C.Bray to do his work - no one else could do it justice.
So many memories come back listening to Brodie’s ramblings.

I tried this series out after reading few reviews, it’s easy listening thanks RC Bray as always. Characters are engaging and often funny. It’s an action packed series about colony trying to survive against everything

The second half of the book takes a dramatic turn and it's non stop shooting, firefight, tanks, bots, planes, drones...characters getting killed...I had to back track 3 times because I kept thinking i'd zoned out and missed a whole bunch of story leading to this but it really does just do a total 180 and go "OK we reached our objective, now lets go blow some stuff up" and a lot of the plot and build up from the first half is thrown out the window and ignored, replaced with action scene after action scene.

Really lost me in the second half of the book and found myself just waiting for it to be over.

The second book builds nicely on from the first. The flow of the story arc runs naturally and smoothly. Great characters who are brought to life by RC Bray. There are not enough hours in the day to listen.

Great sequel to a very satisfying story and expands on some already rich characters.
This series is like call of duty and Halo made a baby while staying at ready player ones house.
Nuff said.
