A solid YA fantasy standalone

Warrior of the Wild is a solid YA fantasy standalone. It's a fast-paced adventurer story about self discovery and survival. It honestly took me by surprise how much i enjoyed it; it was such a fun read. If you want viking mythology, witty characters, strong female lead and a bit of romance... this one is for you.

Good

I love, love, LOVE Vikings. It’s a bit frightening sometimes. This story had just enough of the feel of them to satiate that desire. The MC is tough and I liked her character development. I enjoyed the story up until the romance actually transitioned into Couple Mode. I have a difficult time with romances because while I enjoy them, they tend to get in the way of the actual story and are usually pretty juvenile. This one was fine, if leaning to the “juvenile” side pretty hard. The narrator was the element that almost made me place this amongst my DNF graveyard. She overacted EVERYTHING and was really annoying seven hours into it. It’s better than underacting, I suppose. For the intense parts, it was great. For everything else... eh.

A Wild Adventure

Another awesome book by Miss Levenseller. This one is different than her previous two pirate books. Pros: --The fast pace, you aren't bored. --The twists and turns it takes. It was clever and original. --The world she created. You have enough detail to understand and be immersed, without the pages of description that make you snooze. She did it just right. --Our leading lady --The romance ;) --The narrator did a great job --The action! For my conservative readers or those listening with kids: there was very little swearing, and no F words. There was only one passionate kissing scene, and it didn't progress beyond there. There is a main character that is homosexual, with a partner, and they do kiss, though it isn't described in detail. I really liked it and recommend it! It is a woman warrior book, but the audience isn't just for females; I think it's a book guys would enjoy as well. I think there's a bit of everything in there for everyone.

Excellent story and performance. I bought this one after enjoying the Author's other two books. Each one exceeded expectations.

Wonderful!

The character development was astounding! I felt as if I was learning along with the main characters as they changed and grew. The romances were so mature and pure and sweet, absolutely my favorite kind. The action scenes had me fidgeting in my seat, as if I was personally involved in the characters dilemmas. I truly enjoyed this marvelous book!

Great story with likable characters

Well written story with Nordic origins. Liked the depth and presentation of characters- but you have to keep listening to know that. The narrator is a little too drama queen for my liking, but not enough to ruin experience.

Marisa Calin has officially become one of my top 5 narrators for sick day picks- lucky me she’s a lot of great authors she’s been chosen for so I won’t run out any time soon ;). Calming voice while not putting me to sleep & this book is so engrossing & engaging! I love the world & truly hope Tricia writes more ft this world & characters.

Phenomenal book

I was so delightfully surprised by this book every step of the way. Easily one of the most compelling and strong female characters I've experienced in so long. I love that you can actually see the progress and depth of the characters with every step.

Fun read

I’ve read all of her books now and I will say she entertains me. The pirate books are my favorite but her others still entertain. Observations: she a feminist. That’s cool. I think she has issues with her parents because no one has nice parents in her books 😂😂 Worth the read

Perfection

Every single one of Levenseller's books are masterpieces. the stories have very strong and fun female characters with a sidekick male that only adds and nothin takes from it. I loved this one so much. The stories are simple but so much fun!!!! Who says otherwise are probably mad.

Warrior of the Wild Review

It was a good story, but I would have liked it more if the story was fleshed out more and certain things explained, but overall it is a very enjoyable listen and a great story.

Poor Higga

Didn’t really like the beast killing. Typical humans, killing everything that’s just minding its own business
