Very enjoyable

This is the second book I’ve read/listened to by this author. (The other was Riviera Retreat which was also very good) I really enjoyed the story. Wish I could say that I’ve only ever read about such bitter vindictive characters as the old grandmother sadly some in my immediate family is even worse than she was however the main message in the story I think is one of forgiveness and moving forward and not letting the past ruin the present. Great book. I’m sure I’ll be rereading it at some point.

Heart warming.

Loved this book and listened to it in one day. Some times choices made when young and hidden have long lasting consequences. This story will keep you wondering from the beginning. I cried, laughed and wondered what next. Really enjoyable story.

Villa of Sun and Secrets

Villa of Sun and Secrets. I tried several times to get into this book because the narrater was so over the top. I finally just read it. As the book progressed her voice settled a bit. I absolutely loved the book I did not want it to end. If you have been there you feel as if you are there again.

Thought I had guessed the ending, how wrong I was, a twist around every corner. Ready for the next audio book.

Easy listen with depth

Loved it. An easy listen, but with more depth than some. I felt I went with Carla from England to her gorgeous villa and down the painful twists and turns of her family history, and I loved getting to know the characters she met along the way. Julia Franklin did a fantastic job with the narration. I see the author lives in France, why no French version? I’d love to hear it in French
