About this listen

Malrosa is a princess of the Athanatos, powerful immortal insect people who have been systematically assaulting Vita's island for years.

When Vita ends up fusing her soul with her, the resulting gestalt must struggle to reconcile her conflicting viewpoints and beliefs. Now in love with two homes and full of perspective her old self lacked, Vita must bring peace between warring islands... and if there's one thing Vita has always been bad with, it's peace.

This is the fourth and final book of Vigor Mortis.

Man this story was just amazing and beautiful. It was wholesome and depressing in the best ways and Vita’s journey of self discovery into becoming a goddess is so interesting. Penelope being the amazing dragon lady and her journey of figuring out her love again after it was ripped out of her was also quite beautiful. Lark and Juliesa’s characters and chemistry are also fun to look at. With Lark going on a similar journey to Vita since they are kind of the same. Monsters with a yearning to help others. Some character deaths did feel a bit rushed and I felt that the main conflict of hive rock was put on hold when Vita and her rag tag group of fucked up friends met Nara, but that ending was so damn good. Also loved the whole DID situation Vita has going on with Malrosa and how they both became two different people by the end of the story.
