Publisher's Summary

From HiJinks Ink Publishing and Shannon Mayer comes Veiled Threat, the seventh installment in the USA Today best-selling Rylee Adamson novels. With over one million books sold, Shannon Mayer proves once again that she can dominate her genre right out of the gate.

"My name is Rylee, and I am a Tracker."

When children go missing and the humans have no leads, I'm the one they call. I am their last hope in bringing home the lost ones. I salvage what they cannot.

Demons are putting rips in the veil in order to cross over and steal my friends and allies away. But going after them isn't even close to simple. The deepest level of the veil is not a place you can just open a doorway to, after all, and of course that's where they've been taken. As fate would have it, it looks like I might get some help from a trained demon slayer and his fire-breathing ride. The only problem? Said demon slayer claims to have family ties to me. And I've never trusted my family. Nor am I about to start now.

Critic Reviews

"I was happy to see that the action started almost from the first page and didn't let up till the end. It was also wonderful to get further insight into how Rylee was supposed to be the saviour of the world - that was a left hook I didn't see coming, but it was all the more poignant for its unpredictability and purity." Glad that I found this series

This is a great series and I have enjoyed every book. It was a bonus being included in the Plus Catalog. Shannon Mayer is a new author to add to my list. She has a great way of telling a story to draw you in. When I think I know what's going to happen I am surprised. This series has been a great one to follow on and I have to stop myself to drag it out.

Action driven

So much action, I don’t know how Shannon Mayer does it. I got a bit confused in places, but I’m obsessed. Binge reading does that to me. Twists and turns I’m finding are the norm in this series, which make them so fun. Eager to get to the next book.

Boring and Gloomy

This book of the series is a dirge. It plods along towards imminent doom. Not sure what happened but even the characters have lead feet. No snaps of brilliance or comic relief even. Just this feeling of impending trauma lying in wait around every corner. The narrator holds the story up and that goes to show how much her talent has developed along the way. I am invested this far and won’t quit but am having difficulty going forward with enthusiasm. I wonder which favorite characters will die and how gruesome and heart wrenching their ends will be. Please let the next books be more enjoyable .

Rylee has grown so much from the first book and you can really see it in this novel. I LOVE how Millie has redeemed herself. I can't wait to dive into the next one!

Things are heating up in the supernatural world!

To Rylee family means everything. Throughout each adventure her family continues to grow. Now there is a new member and this one is a blood tie but something feels off. While she struggles to figure out what it is the world around her is falling apart and non-stop action ensues. The players are coming together and the next book is looking to be set up for the perfect epic battle!

Oh no why is book 8 no on audible

This book see Rylee obtaining more friends and perhaps more enemies before the prophecies. This story puts her closer to her battle with Oryan but doesn't have another story around it like her other books. She is doing no tracking here.
