Hedvice je sedm let a za pár dní půjde poprvé do školy. Škola je v takové úplně malinkaté vesničce a široko daleko není nic jiného. Hedvika se strašně těší, čeká už celou věčnost, aby mohla nasednout na školní autobus a rozjet se tam. Na kole by to rozhodně nešlo, na to bydlí moc daleko. Hedvika s rodiči totiž žije v úplné pustině.
