Det gamle slot viser sig at være fyldt med ulykkelige skæbner, og for at Stjerne selv kan blive fri og lykkelig, må hun komme til bunds i slottets og i sin egen histories hemmeligheder.
Ragnhild Bach Ølgaard (1936 - 2015) var en dansk forfatter og maler. Hun arbejdede i mange år som lærer, men efter sin pensionering dedikerede hun sig fuldt til arbejdet som forfatter og maler. Ragnhild Bach Ølgaard har skrevet en lang række fantasybøger for børn og unge.
