Boring, repetitive and general

This book would give the reader a basic understanding of the vagus nerve . Since I had heard of the vagus nerve previously I found it very general and basic. Someone could easily spend a few minutes googling it and would know just as much in a much shorter amount of time especially since the information was repeated over and over to inflate the book I suppose .
The narrator sounded like he needed to clear his throat often but never did. I found this annoying as well as the numerous amounts of mispronunciation.

same information over and over

the book keeps repeating the same info, about what the vagus nerve is, while the moments of exercise are super short and cryptic.

This book was an eminent instructor for all of us

Self-care brings to mind many ideas. Many people think it's eat right, exercise, and get an adequate amount of rest. Self-care is more than that. This audiobook gives an exceptionally essential clarification!

There is a great deal with this book

Awesome audiobook! I am just a few chapters in, but it has already changed a lot in my life. Truly meeting my “best self” and my “anti-self” has made a difference.

Great Information; The Worst Narrator in History

I really appreciate the content and intent of this book, but the narrator took much of the credibility from the author.
This narrator did not know how to pronounce many of the words he was reading; some of them as common as "abdomen". There were times I had to rewind and listen several times in an effort to figure out what he was trying to say. Frustrating and distracting. All the five star reviews of the narrator made me wonder if we were listening to the same book.

Narrator could be better

I enjoyed the book a lot, but would have much preferred a different narrator. It was an okay narrator, but definitely could be improved upon.

It gives us a practical and logical explanation

Get out of your way! The author gives great examples of how we sabotage ourselves and our success in relationships, business, and in all areas of life. I like this audiobook very much.

Get the ability to access on this theme deeply.

I am thoroughly enjoying this pursue. A audiobook which filled with the practicality of why we think negative thoughts and not the mumbo jumbo filled affirmations and formulas (that usually don’t work).

Interesting, but poorly read.

This would have been much better if the narrator didn't sound like a robot.

Is this voiced by AI?

Vagus science is really exciting and the premise of the book is solid. But the voice is dreadful. Almost artificial. There is also a repeat loop in chapter four.

Good content ruined by the delivery.

Great explanation of the polyvagal theory

I really appreciated the information shared. It would have much more helpful to have an accompanying PDF showing the exercises described.

Material missing!

The book is really interesting, almostvtoo good to be true in terms of the expeced results. The point is, for many of the hands on techniques and descriptions, there’s reference to pictures that do not come with
the book (most audiobooks of this kind do bring extra-material). Therefore, it is like buying half a book
