Publisher's Summary

Heal chronic illness and inflammation by activating the hidden power of your vagus nerve...

Are you:

  • Suffering from chronic pain?
  • Feeling tired all the time?
  • Struggling with depression, anxiety, or eating disorders?
  • Generally feeling unwell though doctors can’t find any problems?

It’s probably your vagus nerve.

The vagus nerve is one of the main nerves in your body. It connects the brain to all of your major organs. So a lot can go wrong if this nerve gets blocked, and it’s easy to get it blocked with excessive stress, poor posture, or muscle imbalance - things that most of us are guilty of.

Among other things, the vagus nerve controls inflammation. This is your body’s natural response to illness or injury, but it often gets out of control and becomes chronic. Its symptoms can include swelling, pain, digestive issues, and a general feeling of weakness.

The vagus nerve also controls your stress levels and your mood, so stimulating it has been proven to help overcome depression and PTSD.

It closely controls your digestion. Problems with the vagus nerve can cause digestive issues and unhealthy eating behaviors that lead to obesity.

As you can see, your vagus nerve is responsible for the proper functioning of your major organs so maintaining its health is vitally important.

This book will be your guide to activating your vagus nerve and greatly improving your physical and mental health.

Here’s what you’ll find in this book:

  • A mind-blowingly precise description of the vagus nerve’s anatomy and functions
  • Surprising natural techniques to activate the vagus nerve
  • Specific strategies for dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD and other conditions by stimulating the vagus nerve with different techniques
  • The right nutrition to keep you vagus nerve healthy
  • And much more...

A healthier life is just one click away.

A must for anyone working with bodies

Fantastic book!!! Really great exercises in the back. I am a psychotherapist who works somatically with my clients. I have taught each of my clients the exercises and they have all (literally) had relief from it. So wonderful!!!! Supports a regulated nervous system.

Simple and effective techniques.

I now use "The Basic Exercise" several times a day with very apparent positive effects to reduce overall tension. Other exercises described in the book are helpful as well. Highly recommended.

Narration

This narrator needs to slow down, know the pronunciation of the words in the text and eliminate the monotone articulations. The material is noteworthy to explore but the narrator was a distraction in its assimilation.

Horrible Choice of Reader, Good Content

This book contains good information but was difficult to finish. The reader couldn't pronounce most of the medical terms which made the book confusing as he would produce the same term multiple ways. Toward the end of the book the reader belched. He belched 4 or 5 times while reading and didn't bother to re-record those portions, which felt rude. In the last few chapters the reader makes no effort to comprehend what he is reading as he re-reads multiple sentences, transposed words in the sentence, and just stopped talking before completing a thought. I feel sorry for the author of this book as the audio version is butchered by the reader. I cant imagine how the publisher or whoever was involved in the production of this audio version could have approved this reading. Its a shame because the book has good content but I could never recomend the audio version.

Healing. Such important information and practices.

An important book for understanding overall health and wellness. I have struggled with anxiety and depression most of my life. I was recently diagnosed with OCD, and I have been doing a tremendous amount of research over the last three years. Most of the research I have done has uncovered more and more the importance of the vagus nerve. I had never heard of it before three years ago, when I had a serious of debilitating panic attacks and suffered from panic disorder. The understanding that this book provides is revolutionary and so important. Our understanding of medicine in the West has overlooked this crucial part of the Body. So much can he effectively healed and treated with an awareness of the vagus nerve and it's functions. I am so grateful for this book.

The information in this audiobook.

The information in this audiobook provides a nice alternative explanation and treatment for those suffering from chronic illness, and autoimmune disease and i especially liked the emphasis on ones state of mind as part of treatment like mindfulness while eating and practicing gratitude and this audiobook is short and valuable and has made it clear I should invest in some of the other audiobooks available on the topic and this audiobook covers all of the bases at a fraction of the price of the others but I want to know more and it explains daily activities that anyone could and should do to tone their vagus nerve and this is recommendable audiobook!

This guys voice is unbearable.

Feels like listening to an automated phone service or some annoying robot. First 3 chapters were basically him reading from Wikipedia.

This audiobook all information very easy

The audiobook is definitely not for casual listening. It comes loaded with different exams you can have done. An excellent guide for me. I'm satisfied with this fiction audiobook.
