Holly Summers is a child welfare officer in Portland, Oregon, who moonlights for the local police department using her skills as a lip-reader (she also happens to be deaf). But while Holly is helping the police investigate a rash of disappearances, an angry father from one of her cases puts a curse on her that threatens the one thing she loves most: her daughter. Performer Suzy James' tones are honeyed and smooth here, and she does an excellent job creating separate voices for each character. Fans of supernatural and psychological thrillers are likely to enjoy the ride.

Narration was outstanding however the heroine seemed to become dumber as the story progressed. Red flags left right and centre as ploughed ahead to oblivion.
