Packed with new reporting, Tired of Winning: Donald Trump and the End of the Grand Old Party tracks Trump’s improbable journey from disgraced and defeated former president to the dominant force, yet again, in the Republican Party. From his exile in Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump has become more extreme, vengeful, and divorced from reality than he was on January 6, 2021. His meddling damaged the GOP’s electoral prospects for third consecutive election in 2022. His legal troubles are mounting. Yet he re-emerged as the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

Less than 40 minutes after taking the oath of office, Trump began turning the White House into a money machine for himself, his family, and his courtiers. The Big Cheat offers a guided tour of how money flowed in and out of Trump’s hundreds of enterprises, showing in simple terms how a corrupt president used our government for his benefit, even putting national security at risk.

Story
On January 6, 2021, Donald Trump incited a violent mob to storm the US Capitol in attempts to overturn the presidential election. It was a betrayal of our Constitution, and one of the darkest days in recent history. Yet to former congressman Adam Kinzinger it was also the culmination of a cultural and political rupture he’d long seen coming. Constructive criticism from within the Republican Party was no longer enough. It was time to stand up, even if it meant betraying his own party.

In Find Me the Votes, two years of immersive reporting by Isikoff and Klaidman has produced the most authoritative and dramatic account yet of a defeated president’s conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election and how a local Georgia prosecutor—a daughter of the civil rights movement—decided to indict him and his allies for his desperate attempt to hold on to power. From the beginning, Fani Willis saw Donald Trump’s crimes as a voting rights case, and an attempt by the former president to deprive the citizens of Georgia of the franchise, a right for which her forebears had bled.

The January 6th attack is an unprecedented crime in American history. Sprawling and openly political, it can't be handled by the traditional rules and norms of law enforcement—threatening the very idea of justice and its role in society. A mass of online tipsters—"sedition hunters"—have mobilized, simultaneously providing the FBI with valuable intelligence. In this work of extraordinary reportage, Ryan Reilly gets to know would-be revolutionaries, obsessive online sleuths, and FBI agents, and shines a light on a justice system that's straining to maintain order in our polarized country.

Ascending to the leadership role of US Attorney for the Southern District, which includes Manhattan and several counties to the north, is a capstone to any legal career: it entails guiding a team of the best lawyers in America in selecting and winning cases that often have global import. Geoffrey Berman was honored to be tapped for the job by Donald Trump in 2018. The manner in which Trump had dispatched his predecessor Preet Bharara was troubling, but the institution was fabled for its independence. Surely he could manage.

Rural voters believe our nation has betrayed them, and to some degree, they’re right. In White Rural Rage, Tom Schaller and Paul Waldman explore why rural Whites have failed to reap the benefits from their outsize political power and why, as a result, they are the most likely group to abandon democratic norms and traditions.

Publisher's Summary
The former Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison in the Trump White House provides a jaw-dropping look into the corruption and controversy of the current administration.
Few have been a member of Donald Trump’s inner orbit longer than Omarosa Manigault Newman. Their relationship has spanned 15 years - through four television shows, a presidential campaign, and a year by his side in the most chaotic, outrageous White House in history. But that relationship has come to a decisive and definitive end, and Omarosa is finally ready to share her side of the story in this explosive, jaw-dropping account.
A stunning tell-all and takedown from a strong, intelligent woman who took every name and number, Unhinged is a must-listen for any concerned citizen.

Enthralling!
Omarosa skilfully captivates her audience with her thorough account of events that have been of morbid fascination to the world. It has been incredible using her unique perspective to fill in gaps of knowledge we have in the public’s view. Thank you too for those tantalising snippets ... who is having or had a relationship in the WH? Who is the family member working against things. All will be revealed in the fullness of time no doubt. As an extra bonus, Amarosa narrates her book herself. I’m loving this trend in audiobooks. Thanks for your book and good luck for the future!

It is an OK book
The strong aspect of the audible is the reader. She has a really nice voice and that makes for a pleasurable experience in listening to her book. The book itself is alright as a description of what she remembers as the important moments she had in the White House. But it is not really a profound analysis of the Trump Administration. Omarosa glimpses over those, yet it is somewhat interesting to hear them at least for the new information they give from her personal perspective.

Interesting.
I do find this an interesting listen from an insider perspective'...… but I find it self-serving and too little too late as well. I find she's trying too hard to write her own history, before history does it for her, so history will record her well. It is interesting to read from one insider's perspective - but from someone living far away from what is happening in the USA, I find her self-justification shallow. Yes she was a woman in the inner sanctum …… she was aware all was not well for a long time prior to being evicted from the inner sanctum.... and now like the high achiever she is, she is making the most of it by writing a book. Interesting read. Good insight. Self serving. Was it worth it - yes.

Don't waste your money!
I couldn't even get through half of this book. Omarosa is tedious and vain. It was hard to remember what she was writing about between her self obsession, trashy TV appearances and attempts to impress Trump.
It was forced, poorly written and an obvious way to cash in on the Trump ex-employee train.

Complete self-indulgence (yes, even for Omarosa)
The title of “Unhinged” leads you down the garden path.
You would be forgiven for believing this was about an unhinged Donald Trump, but that’s not quite so, it is more about the author. I think a more accurate title would of been: The Life & Times of Omarosa Manigault Newman. While I wouldn’t have bought it, if that’s the kind of thing you like, you will like this book, it tell the story of Omarosa, as written by Omarosa, given that, I would rate it 3*, 4* with a different narrator. From the start it’s read with over the top and completely unnecessary dramatics, like only Omarosa could, after almost 3 hours in I couldn’t take anymore.

The 'Heel'
This has to be one of the most distasteful books I've ever wasted time and money on. Let me preface this by saying I'm an African American man, in no way does racial intolerance colour my perspective.
Trump summed her up perfectly when he said she had a chip on her shoulder. She certainly does. I'm not sure if that comes from her race, her sex, or her life to date, but it is palpable.
Her story paints her as a bitter, narcissistic, deluded woman who lurches from touting the numerous opportunities she has been gifted , to whining no end about her lot in life, and how badly she has been slighted by all and sundry.
As odd as it sounds, on occasion it appears as if what she craved most from Trump was his lust, which is distasteful in its own right.
Genuine confidence is wonderful, and it comes from a life lived with humble achievement through perseverance and skill. This book stinks to high heaven of arrogant insecurity. This goes some way to explaining why, to quote her, she has craved the spotlight her entire life.
If you ask me, the image she wanted to avoid adopting most, that of an angry black woman, is exactly how she is now perceived.
The 'heel' may well sell more merchandise and book more appearances, but isn't that a little pathetic a metric for such a supposedly talented, successful, maverick of her time (my words).....?
Honestly, I'm ashamed to call her a 'sister'.
