Den Psychotherapeuten Jakob Jakobi hat das Glück verlassen. Geschieden, pleite und beruflich gescheitert: So gebeutelt trifft Jakobi auf Abel Baumann, einen ebenfalls glücklosen Zirkusclown. Der leidet offenbar an einer kuriosen Persönlichkeitsstörung, denn er hält sich für Gott.
