A beautiful love story. I was swept away, totally caught up in this book, particularly as I once lived in South Africa and know the stark, harsh but unique and beautiful landscape of the Karoo. The Author’s descriptions of the landscape are incredibly true to life, and filled me with an intense nostalgia remembering those wide open spaces washed with sun and vivid contrasts. I loved Davey and Johnathan’s beautifully written love story. Their emotions are so poignant, vivid, incredibly detailed and beautifully portrayed. This book will stay in my heart and I look forward to revisiting it time and time again. The narration by Nathan Wolfe is superb ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book feels a little different to the other Reign books I’ve read but omg it’s BRILLIANT. The angst, the heartbreak and healing is written so well and the narrator did a perfect job.

I don't even care how mad people will get reading such a bold statement. The things that I found regrettable about Call Me By Your Name are not an issue here - the (at best) questionable age gap, the sad outcome, one character's denial of his identity... Davey starts out afraid of his sexuality, but it's a part of his journey. A journey full of love, learning and kindness. I can see myself returning to this one.
