Publisher's Summary
This presentation discusses the life of John Locke, the evolution of his ideas, and the political conflicts in seventeenth-century England which led to the writing of Two Treatises of Government. The famous Second Treatise, which contains Locke's central ideas on rights, government, and revolution, is examined in detail. Special attention is given to Locke's theory of private property, which has influenced law and government for over two centuries.

One of my favourites
This was the first Audio Classics product I owned, by Knowledge Products. I love it. The individual roles are spoken by actors, with dramatic quality. The script is by historians and is balanced and accurate, though occasionally with a libertarian gloss (though that is likely to be inherent in a work about Locke). Note, this product covers BOTH of the Two Treatises of Government. The first is about ecclesiastical government, and is rarely studied but is very interesting. The second is about civil government and remains a classic. I have listened to this numerous times and it remains one of my favourites.
