Novembre 1982. Tutto ebbe inizio con quel film, "Il Poeta Scozzese". La vita di Lorenzo Bisetti, studente di violino presso il Conservatorio G. Verdi di Milano, da quella pellicola non fu più la stessa.
Il primo viaggio del 1985 in terra californiana aprì una breccia "americana" nella sua anima: ma il successivo viaggio del 16 Marzo 1986 ne decretò la finale metamorfosi. Hollywood scardinò definitivamente l'equilibrio della sua giovane, già "instabile", esistenza, ma fu l'amore, o forse meglio la morte dell'amore, ad infliggergli una severa sentenza... eterna.
Tutto mutò, in poco meno di un battito di ciglia. Solo il caso, sostenuto dal tempo, gli ritornò una parvenza di vita. Fino al traguardo...
