Audie Award Finalist, Erotica, 2016

Trust - verb: to believe in the reliability, truth, or strength of another.

Up until now Logan Mitchell has never had much of a reason to trust anyone. Having struggled with a self-identity crisis throughout college, he's spent the years since then creating a sophisticated facade to present to the world. It's an armor he thinks is impenetrable - until he meets Tate Morrison. The gorgeous, headstrong bartender he sat across from only months ago has taken a tight hold of his heart, and Logan is discovering that it's time to let go. It's time to let someone inside.

After years of placing his dreams on hold for his family, Tate has finally chosen to do what makes him happy and follow his heart. The one thing he never would've imagined was that it would lead him into the arms of a man - and not just any man but the striking, never-takes-no-for-an-answer Logan Mitchell. Tate has fallen hard. And as his world is turned on its axis and they move forward together, he finds his life becoming more entwined with the confident, successful lawyer.

Even though neither man expected the other, it's time to trust in their relationship - but not everything comes so easily.

Beautiful and absorbing

Not a standalone - you must read the preceeding books.
These characters are so vivid and the chemistry so electric that many readers engage on multiple levels with these books - me included.
This book squeezes your heart and makes you FEEL everything, ripping you raw. It's beautiful and completely absorbing.
This series is diamond standard - I adore it.

Sex overpowers plot

Lawyer Logan Mitchell wants bartender Tate Morrison to move in with him, but Tate doesn’t feel he brings anything to the table so starts looking for bars to buy. Logan is in for a world of hurt as his nasty ex-lover, Chris Walker, insinuates himself as a client at Logan’s firm - what does he really want? Tate continues to try to approach his family after they rejected him for coming out. When I look at that compelling soapie summary, it feels like there’s a lot going on in this 400 pg book, but if you took out the sex scenes, you’d knock it over pretty quickly - just way too many in my opinion. Each of the subplots could have been so much more, but were superficially short because they weren’t the priority. The subplot involving Chris didn’t make any sense, why didn’t Logan just refuse to keep Chris as a client? Lawyers do that all the time. I love Tate and Logan and want them to succeed so I’ll stick with this series despite the shortcomings. Shannon Gunn does a great job on the audiobook, although I dislike his voicing of Robbie.
