Excellent

What a book! Highly recommend for the Spiritually hungry & God seeking Christian, who longs for greater intimacy with their Lord. Schaffer is Prophetic in his approach to guiding Christians on “How to Live the Christian life now”. In a post Christian world this book speaks powerfully of the God who is ever present & certainly not quiet. Praise God for this great body of work by his faithful servant!

Bravo! Incredibly Inspiring and Uplifting!

To me this material is wonderful and amazingly easy to understand. The narrator is absolutely perfect for this material! I couldn't stop listening once I'd begun, and I immediately listened to it again. (I'm listening to "He Is There and He Is Not Silent" right now.) There is much in this material for everyone, and it's presented in a way that allows you to take it into your heart and begin right in the moment to change and to see who you are meant to be. Some of the insights are so striking to me and answered questions that I've had most of my life. You may be thinking that I'm pretty ignorant, but you'd be wrong. I've studied the Bible my whole life and I'm 71 years old. I've written Bible lessons that are going into many parts of the world, which I tell you to impress on your heart the need to listen to this material. I honestly believe that everyone who hears Schaeffer's message will make the world a better place. I'm not a member of the same church as Schaeffer was, but he has converted my heart to his way of thinking and living. And I'll add that I've had a sensation of joy and peace that I haven't known for many years since listening to this audio book. As you can imagine, I'm very thankful for the gift of this message.

A lifesaver

I try to read this book about every year because it is been the most important book besides the Bible in my life. I encourage every Christian to read and reread this incredibly important book. At every reading or hearing I get something life-changing from it.

Beautifully Biblical, and emotionally nourishing.

I loved this book. I have been a student of the Scriptures and theology for nearly twenty years but found this book to be just what I needed to throw open the shutters and let the sun shine in, illuminating ancient truths alongside contemporary application.

The personal and infinite God

The author emphasizes our relationship with the personal God. This relationship is not burdensome but easy and delightful. We see the Person of Jesus Christ to be as close as our very thoughts and feelings, but tempered by the God Word, and examined by the Holy Spirit, which also makes God's Word understandable. The personal relationship comes by identifying with the life, rejection, crucifixion, resurrection, glorification, and ascension of the Lord, and prompts us to to put Him first in all things, and furthermore prompts us to long for His return.

Excellent- must re-read

Too much to grasp in just one reading but well worth it. I recommend this book.
