Publisher's Summary

Over the years, there have been many strange or unexplained phenomena that people have experienced or witnessed in their lives. These experiences have been passed on from generation to generation. However, as time passed, most of these may have been forgotten or simply remained unsolved.

There are hundreds of paranormal stories and personal experiences that have happened over the last century but there are some that truly stand out and have become incidents that people will never forget. Take for instance "Australia's Most Haunted House" Monte Cristo homestead or the Clark Air Base in the Philippines.

How about the story of Jack the Ripper that up until now is still unsolved or the famous Amityville horror house that has been made into a movie over and over again. If you are a fan of these hair-raising and bizarre stories, then this book is the one you are looking for.

You will find mind-boggling and chilling tales from different countries. Get to know why an area in Boston, Ohio is called Hell town. Explore at your own risk the haunted house in Beijing, the story behind the historical London Bridge or the haunted areas inside the White House.

Not very good

I struggled to finish this book, I didn't find it very interesting at all. Maybe I was expecting too much.

Interesting. Too short.

It had interesting facts. It was more historical , or personal experiences, than stories.

Must Read For Haunted Stories Fans!

This was such a cool book full a spine tingling stories. This narrator was a great voice for it. I thought I was watching one of the tellings on the discovery channel. Each story had it's own fright and I just felt for the people that really went through it. This is a must read/listen for ghost and haunting tales fans. I guarantee each story will make you feel chills. I know they did for me. I did listen to this book at night and it was so much fun. Who doesn't like to be scared by a good ghost story? Read if you dare. Actually just read/listen it and learn about the possible unknown.

Interesting Stories Told too Quickly

I didn't care for this book as much as I have Max Mason Hunter's other books. This really felt like snippets of stories and didn't give as much detail I would have liked. I did enjoy hearing about some ghost stories I hadn't heard about before, although there just didn't feel like I got enough information and many seemed more like folk lore versus actual accounts. The stories are definitely interesting and I wouldn't suggest to skip it, maybe just put others in front in the queue. Kevin Theis has a perfect voice for narration. I have listened to a wide range of stories told by him and he never dissapoints. I really enjoy the sound of his voice and the energy he puts into telling each story. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Not what I was expecting

This sounded like all those films we had to watch when we were in school. Not a bad thing, just I was thinking it would be like a campfire voice and it would be all spooky. There were stories I never heard of before and I really liked that. Also, i swear there was more than 10 stories. I would have liked more spooky, but I liked this one.

Haunting

To say he's done it again would be an understatement but it's true. Every story just made you get goose bumps. The narration was spot on. Loved it.

Skip it

Book flows to fast. What could be interesting stories are covered so fast they become interesting. It’s way to condensed. I received this book in exchange for a review. Wish I had better things to say. Reader could be better given a better book. There just was not enough subject matter on each haunting. Very basic. Should have cut one or two and elaborated some.

Interesting "True" ghost stories

I didn't care for the narration style of this book. It was hard for me to pay attention to the stories since it sounded like a newscast. The ones I did hear were interesting.

Couldn't Finish

It is a really hard listen and personally found nothing spine chilling about the stories. I feel like the dialogue was very repetitive and narrated in such a way that my concentration was faulting. The book came across to me like an advert; the style was too punchy and fast-paced.
