About this listen

His treasure and his obsession...

Despite her longing for the sea, Macy has clung to the safety of land for half her life, devoting herself to her daily routine—until she agrees to go sailing with a childhood friend. Her fears come to fruition when a sudden storm capsizes their boat, rekindling her old terror. She awakens to a rescuer who is anything but human—and he refuses to let her go. Treated like a curiosity and a possession, she's desperate to go home. Yet Macy is undeniably drawn to this strange creature. Can she give up her old life, her family and friends, to embrace this adventure...and Jax?

Her savior and her captor...

Jax the Wanderer is a hunter, an explorer, and an oddity among his kind. While other kraken are content near their dens, Jax is driven by a deep need to journey far and wide, discovering the unknown corners of the sea. Macy challenges everything he's known; she is the most alluring creature he's ever seen on his travels. He must possess her, though he knows it can only end in disaster. How much is he willing to forsake for the female he desires?

Contains mature themes.

This is a very interesting book and I really enjoyed it, and would definitely read other books from this author.

I loved this book so much it's understated in so many ways. It got you right in your heart. It's a story about prejudiced, anger and stereotype. It's happening in real life the creatures might be a sci-fi but the prejudice is real. this book is a slow burn romance with plenty of boiling chemistry (grins) The narrator's are both excellent thank you.
I'm a huge fan of Hollie Jackson and Ryan Turner has the most gentlest voice ever.

I was a bit dubious about starting this book, but I have to say- it was REALLY enjoyable! Loved the narration, the plot, the characters... really can't find any faults to gripe about.
It was a surprisingly sweet romance, and well written.
I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of the series.

Pleasant surprise!

Well this was certainly different. I wasn't sure if I could handle a slightly more diverse engineered than human, but I thought I would give it a go anyway.
I enjoyed how Tiffany spread her plot line, so as I got to know a bit of history behind the kraken and the humans. The budding relationship called for an open mind and I was wondering how the ending was going to mete out. I felt we were running out of time for the humans to accept something that's not the same.
It was particularly nice to have an opening to the next book and I have to say I really enjoyed hollie as the narrator I've listened to her many a time and she does a really good job. Ryan Turner is the first for me but I also enjoyed his tones and inflictions in his narration.
all up there was some steam, some romance some suspense and still a few unanswered questions that I think I will learn more of in book 2.

went into this in 2 minds. too much non human....I'm glad a listened
