I rented this to learn more about Cambodia. I learned very little before it turned to how to fight in Thailand. Very misleading. Big ripoff!! Should be illegal!!! DO NOT waste your money on this!
Great info about Cambodia but..,,About 1/3 of the way through the book it becomes all about training for boxing in Thailand? I am not interested in training in Thailand! Maybe this should have been a tiny travel book and do the training in Thailand in a different book!
I don't understand how a Cambodia travel guide turned into why you should move to Thailand and train MMA. Did I miss something? I'm
This book was such a waste of my time. I bought two and of these books, Cambodia and Thailand. The details are outdated and then they suddenly start talking about fighting in Thailand (in both books).
This Travel book is very well written, insightful and absolutely amazing for me to know all the captivating and mysterious temples in Cambodia. I was always fascinated about cambodia and planning to visit some temples and sightseeing in cambodia but I did not have any concise information until this guide book.
Good concise summary of top temples. Enough to give a sense of what each one is but doesn't spoil too much with too many photos.
I like how there is even advice of exchanging currency and getting your visa. I wish there were a few more prices on the travel options, but I guess that it is so dependent on factors like time and day that you can't really estimate.
Great general overview of Cambodia. The author includes a good snippet on the troubled and great history of cambodia. This book also covers a lot of the basic information one needs to know when looking to travel to another country. From food to shopping to housing, this book has it all.
First - half of this is about Thailand not Cambodia. It's not very well written, and I felt the information was very much a survey of options, not really a travel guide. The history section was nearly nonexistent - if you've heard of the Khmer Rouge and are aware this is still a sore subject in the country, you won't learn anything from it. There were a couple decent tidbits (Tonle Sap has a bunch of snakes for example) but it's not worth buying this to get them. The writing feels fairly unprofessional.
