Sultan Leo der Achtundzwanzigste lädt zu seiner Hochzeit und Schildkröte Tranquilla Trampeltreu möchte unbedingt dabei sein. Aber niemand traut ihr zu, dass sie es pünktlich schafft. Doch Tranquilla kommt rechtzeitig – allerdings anders als gedacht. Für den Drachen, der nicht "lind" ist, findet sich eine kluge Alternative, ebenso wie für den Schmetterling, der gar nicht "schmettert". Und irgendwann begreift Nashorn Norbert Nackendick, dass selbst ein mächtiger Herrscher nicht vor Einsamkeit gefeit ist.
