Really solid content for companies and employees

Geared towards content marketing within the context of a team / organization. As a solopreneur, I found this book to be helpful in framing the discussion about content marketing. It also provided some very actionable insights into doing content marketing well. However, it stopped short of providing a comprehensive plan that a solopreneur could implement. If you’re reading this as an executive, manager, or employee, you may get everything you need here. If you’re a solopreneur, read this and then email John (as he suggests) for custom support beyond the book!

I’m Confident This Book Will Change the Trajectory of My Entire Company!

This book could not have come at a more perfect time! A quick google search for “Best marketing books”, lead me to Top of Mind. After a year that didn’t meet our goal, and a lot of uncertainty about why, this book brought immense clarity! It connected a few dots for me that I’ve been holding onto and wondering how they fit into my overall business plan. To me, my business is all about the people! My leadership team, our manufacturing team, our followers, industry partners, and the customers who’s lives we impact. We’ve been moderately successful because of these strong relationships, but we’d kind of maxed out our current ability to reach them, and felt lost trying to reach beyond them.
Now we have a very clear plan about how we can pour into these relationship, measure each efforts success, and build authentic connections that have the end result of a thriving successful business, createing the life we dream of.

Wish I'd read this 5 years ago

The author uses the methods taught in the book - its how I ended up finding and buying it in the first place. Digital content strategy has changed so much, and this book is two steps ahead in helping companies connect deeply with, and motivate action from, their audiences. I found the insights and guidance easy to follow and integrate into my clients' content strategies. Forget about SEO content - the companies and individuals with GREAT content, intelligently distributed and highly relevant to targeted audiences are the ones that will thrive. An easy 5 stars.
