This is a best friends to lovers romance, featuring Ellis Cole and Lucky Buchanan, and is a standalone book. I was hesitant to jump into this one because I thought it would be too sad. Fortunately for me my new book buddy recommended it, thanks Kamryn.

Ellis and Lucky meet when they are 10 years old, when Lucky’s family moves in next door. This story is about their growing friendship and them finding their way to each other. Swoon!

I was so glad I gave this book time because omg it is absolute perfection. Emmy Sanders has done such a phenomenal job bringing these two characters to life. I pretty much sat up all night reading as time just slipped away and I was completely engrossed in the story.

I seriously squealed with happiness about 50% in. Won’t give any spoilers but I will say READ THIS BOOK, you will love it.

I also listened to the audiobook. Liam DiCosimo and Blake Lockheart’s narration was so beautiful, they really sounded like the characters, such an awesome immersive experience reading along and listening to the narrators.

Made me cry several times but always in a good way. This could also be an amazing movie or dramatisation, and I’d really like to see that.

I had to keep listening to this as the story was so sweet. Not sure author wanted it reviewed with that word but they portrayed Ellis so well I fell in love with him. A deep person with a hint of innocence and always true to himself. Lucky was his everything and I totally felt that. Also liked how family was strongly portrayed.

Such a sweet honest love story. Yes it has some spicy parts, but OMG the story was superb.
I listened on Audible and whilst I did enjoy listening, it was a little hard to tell the difference between the narrators voices and I didn't like their 'female' voices for their mothers etc. Otherwise it was a great performance that bought the book alive!

This is a delightful love story. Lucky & Ellis are both amazing, their love for each other is one people dream of. Makes me smile, but have the tissues ready. Narration is great.
