Publisher's Summary

It's the night of the chupacabra.

The days are growing shorter, and the shadows stretch toward the horizon. Once every 200 years, the queen chupacabra chooses this season to bring forth the next generation of her species. Very few of them remain, but the new clutch of babies born to the single queen will number in the hundreds.

Inside, four middle-aged sisters bake cookies for the haunted house charity event to take place on the following night. They do not know about the presence of the chupacabra or suspect that she has recruited a human accomplice which may be far more dangerous than the creature herself.

It's the night before Halloween. This year, the tricks will begin a little early…"
