Couldn’t stop listening!

What a life Tina has had! I’ve always been a big fan of her music now I admire her as a strong woman, I aspire too! Narrated was easy to listen to and made me feel like it was Tina telling the story!

Amazing woman... an inspiration

Tina Turner, what an icon. This story was entertaining and gave great insight I to her thoughts, feelings and journey of her life. I loved her honestly and strength. The only downside is she hasn't narrated it. But after learning she has had a stroke I did understand. However the narrators voice could be annoying and the slow southern drawl got frustratingly irritating at times

Everything I expected & more!

I've always been a Tina "Turner". I've been impressed by the sheer power of her talent and presence. She has endured so much and enjoyed so much. Her life is a physical representation that "this too shall pass".

What a disastrous narration

I was looking forward for this book since it was announced Tina Turner had a new autobiography on the way, so I was really excited to get the audio version as soon as it came out. However, I just had to stop listening and return it. The way Heather Alicia Simms reads it destroys the warmth and honesty of the book. She sounds like a pretentious, shallow, and self-indulgent diva - complete opposite of Tina Turner we all know and love. What a shame.

Tina Turner

enjoyed the biography. Thought the narrator was very mediocre and often irritating. Her rendition detracted from what could have been a very captivating listen.

inspirational to all women

Tina is truly inspiring and her book has translated this so well with the strength she has found through adversity but also proving good things do come out of bad and to never give up hope! To me she is 'Proud Mary'

Queen Tina !

I cried at this honest recounting of an amazingly inspirational Woman’s life ! I saw Tina live only once, but I was close enough to read her lips as she spoke to her guitarist. This book felt like she was speaking to me. It is like Motivational Therapy and I’ve recommended it everyone I know ! Tina you are still The Queen x
