Since early in man's history, he has looked to the heavens for the secret of time. Many have tried and failed. Some have actually gotten fairly close to the code of time. All dreaming that they would be able to go back and correct former mistakes. Time is a massive obstacle undertaking for man.
I give you Tatum, a young boy with an unstoppable will to succeed. Yes, Tatum will do what no man has ever been able to accomplish. Tatum will split time to find his older brother's killer. This is one of the most heartwarming stores of family love you will ever hear. You unquestionably don't want to recognize how far a young mind can broaden and decipher the impossible dream.

Just cannot recommend
What disappointed you about Time Splitter?
Story was lightweight at best. Characters were unappealing and unbelievable. Early part had some interesting science briefly discussed but the rest of the science was implausible and unbelievable. Worst thing about this book was the incredibly stilted dialog. The author must not have been around young people for decades. The teenagers' dialogs sounded like they were written by the authors of the old sixties Beach movies. And Bender from the Breakfast Club Movie described the central family best "they are neomaxizoomdweebies". The old fifties TV series Father Knows Best TV family was more believable than these folks.
Would you ever listen to anything by Richard Porter again?
Not if this is the best example of his work
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Worst reader I have EVER listened to. While he could sound effectively with different male and female characters, his slow, over enunciation of each word made it painful to listen to. I even had others listen to some of the book and they found the narrator laughable.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
An interesting premise - could have been developed into a very special time travel story

A murder solved by a child prodigy.
What made the experience of listening to Time Splitter the most enjoyable?
I did like the imagination and the dialogue between characters in this piece. It had a good mix of humor, relationships, and some mystery.
What other book might you compare Time Splitter to and why?
I don't believe that I have ever read a book quite like it.
Which scene was your favorite?
There was a description of ghost-like characters, which were actually time-travelers. Of course, the book offered a technical explanation. While I would never bet on it, it was really interesting.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A murder in Time
