Publisher's Summary

Time management is perhaps something every person should learn about in greatest detail. This is because time is the only commodity in your life that you cannot regain once it is lost. Time is what makes your life, and if and when you realize that, with every minute that passes, you are closer to your death, you will never ever want to see a moment lost.

Many people complain that they don’t have enough time in the day to do everything they need to get done. Remember, though, that you have the same amount of time given to people like Albert Einstein, Nicholas Tesla, and JK Rowling. It’s how you manage it that counts!

All projects, especially those which are more complex in nature, require prioritization, but this is much easier said than done. The thing about large projects is that the workload can tend to overwhelm, leading to greater procrastination instead of focus. When you start feeling that you have too much on your plate, you will lose interest and find it challenging to keep your work momentum.

If you want to finally become more productive and squeeze the most out of your time on a daily basis, so you can spend more time doing the things you love the most, then make sure to get your copy today!

So Powerful, Yet So Simple

Fantastic book. I discovered David McKeown, Greg Allen listening to podcasts. Just fantastic information that I would think should be obvious, but we all get lost in the day to day with family obligations, business obligations etc. As a small business owner, it is like having a coach telling me what I can do to be better at my job.

So glad to have read this book!

I often heard of the adage that time is precious. Yes, it is and it becomes more precious when I need to finish a job within a span of time. When it also means that I need to finish it without any errors at all. This is where focus comes in and more often than not, I do not have it. I am not mindful of the task at hand. This book made me aware that I can do something about my lack of focus and of my output at work

Great book and genius method

Quite often with this type of book the author becomes bogged down with terminology or over-complicating the matter at hand. I am pleased to say that it wasn't the case at all with this book. I found the step by step guide to planning my week that the author took me through informative & easy to understand and will surely be making my own plan immediately. Once done, I've been taken through 'How to be more productive' & 'How to stay motivated', the latter being the more important to me for sure.

Very applicable for students!

I have learned a lot of things about time management and how to make things fast, effective and more accurate. I always do the easy things first and leave the hard ones for later, but this book proved it to be a bad habit. Sleep really is a good thing to do when your mind starts to cloud up. This book is very helpful to people who find time management very difficult to achieve or handle.

Recommend to college student listen.

Juggling between tasks is not only limited to the working force. Students also have to deal with many school and personal related activities that sometimes take a toll on either one. I should have gotten this book when I was studying since it broke down several time management points that one has to consider to be effective. Although the focus is for college students, the practical tips varying from planning, taking advantage of technolgy, listing tasks and the like are also useful for workers like me.

Best book for time management.

Tom's book is spectacular -- and brief, too! He walks you through several critical strategies for sysadmin time management, including using a ticketing system to track requests. One of the few books that have kept its value over the years in more than just face value. If you are a sysadmin or netadmin this book is a MUST. Great book. Short and too the point. Won't go into details about the review because the other reviews have already taken care of that. best book for time management.

Really helpful book

Very practical advice, but the examples helped me to see what it looks like to carry it out and the results I'd like to achieve. More than step by step - this book has worksheets you can use if you need things written down, checklists you might not consider as important, etc. They all help to create a new idea of how to organize your day....leading to a calmer and more organized life. The constant meetings and quality issues made it impossible to feel in track, this book has been eye opening and I'm starting to see the results, highly recommended.

This book is a treasure!

This book is a must have for anyone who works in IT or as a developer. It has saved me time and time again when it comes to making sure all my work is getting done. I usually think of self help books as touchy-feely nonsense read by weak-minded individuals who can't think for themselves. This is still my opinion and that probably won't change. The great thing about this book is that it doesn't read like a self help book or some master plan to happiness. There's no chapter on meditation or talking about your feelings

Its a Life Changer

Lots of great recommendations. I especially liked the idea of rotating support dutues with other sysadmins to separate time between dedicated user support & maintenance and project work. This is an amazing book. The writing style is laid back and the topics are easily digestible. There's plenty in this book to take action on immediately, and there are already some big things I've implemented, like moving my office. One of the few books that have kept its value over the years in more than just face value.

I Demand An Update!

One of the few books that have kept its value over the years in more than just face value. If you are anxious about your workload and how to manage it, listen this book. The book is plenty with common sense and wisdom. Definitely useful. I'm going to buy the print version for our office. Great book that helped me manage my time and projects as a sys admin. Time Management is the most important skill you'll need as a SysAdmin.
If you don't agree with me here is because you're not a SysAdmin working in a professional enviroment. Or haven't been yet.
This book teaches you how to deal with that, therefore, this book is the most important one you'll ever read in your SysAdmin career

great book.

I attended an eponymous presentation given by the author. Tom is a good presenter and a good writer and the sort of smart-but-easy-going guy you would want to work with. The whole idea of "time management" is especially important for systems administrators, who tend to juggle a lot of things at once while also handling user interruptions, and reporting to diffuse layers of management.
I myself am still experimenting with various daily regimens and have yet to find a system that works really well for me
