Publisher's Summary

Brian Weiss made headlines with his ground-breaking research on past-life therapy in Many Lives, Many Masters. Now, based on his extensive clinical experience, he builds on time-tested techniques of psychotherapy, revealing how regression to past lifetimes provides the necessary breakthrough to healing mind, body, and soul.

Using vivid past-life case studies, Dr. Weiss shows how regression therapy can heal grief, create more loving relationships, and uncover hidden talents - and how near-death and out-of-body experiences help confirm the existence of past lives. Dr. Weiss includes his own professional hypnosis, dream recall, meditation, and journaling techniques for safe past-life recall at home.

Compelling and provocative, Through Time Into Healing shows us how to help ourselves lead healthy, productive lives, secure in the knowledge that death is not the final word and that the doorways to healing and wholeness are inside us.

Succinct and direct summary

I ordered this while waiting on the paper book to arrive. I was a bit doubtful as this was an abridged audio version but I am glad now that I purchased it. I think it's been useful to have this as an overview of the topic. Both narrators are good, and Dr Weiss has a particularly pleasant voice to listen to. For people uncertain about whether to purchase the book (not available on Kindle in Australia at time of writing) this is a good option. I liked that the content covered all types of people who might be interested in this type of work, from the simply curious, to people with significant life or mental health issues. Additional note: if after listening to this book you are interested in purchasing the guided meditations read by Dr Weiss, Hay House sells them as CDs or downloads at a very reasonable price.

Self Hipnosis

I bought this book because in Messages from the Masters it said that in the last chapter of this book Dr. Weiss teaches how to del hypnotize. It did not contain such instruction.

Hard to Beat Many Lives Many Masters

I LOVED Many Lives Many Masters by Dr. Weiss, which was the 1st book I read by him. it's hard to beat that book, especially since I related to the patient so much. While I appreciate the information provided in this book, I think I expected more . It just seemed to end or something, I'm not sure. It just didn't captivate me as MLMM did. With that said, I will continue to read or listen to Dr. Weiss' works. I am grateful to all of those that put themselves out there for such a topic that is all too often ridiculed.

Too repetitive

The book was good the first few stories in. It became very repetitive afterward. A definite pass.

how to apply past life recall is applicable!

the first half of this book explains how certain types of past life memories or recall are related to certain types of conditions in this lifetime. towards the end of the book it discusses the many ways that you can reach out and recall your own past lifetimes. I like that he makes this applicable to everyone and not just a sales pitch for hypnotherapy. While nothing can replace actual hypnotherapy with a licensed therapist, being able to do this yourself at home is really priceless. I really love all of his books and this one is even better than the others as an addition. I would still read the first ones first and followed up with this one. Austin you see sequels not being as good as the first but I find every one of his books of high-quality and always providing more and more insight.

Dr. Weiss should have narrated the entire book

this was great but I would have enjoyed it more if Dr. Weiss had narrated the entire book. I find his voice soothing.

Great as other books

The performance overall is great, even some part of the book is read by another narrator (author did not cover all of it). The stories and narrative are interesting and meaningful as other books Dr Weiss has. Now I have read all his books. Wish he can publish more in the near future.

Fascinating!

I loved this book. If you are at all interested in finding out more about past lives, Dr. Brian Weiss is the best place to start. His story is amazing....how he came to discover regression through hypnotherapy and the benefits that it can have for people is extraordinary. I'm particularly interested in his material as he never believed or even thought about past lives before he happened upon it in his therapy sessions. This book is too short as you really get into listening to peoples stories....I was disappointed when it was over. I'd highly recommend this to people.

A good taster

Having read all of Brian Weiss' books this was only a refresher of sorts. Be aware that this is an excerpt from the book of the same name. However, the book itself is the most theoretical of all his works and consequently rather a rather heavier reading experience. For anyone interested in this topic, Id say its a great buy. For someone who is a BW veteran, perhaps the full length (paper) version may be a better option.

Great book on spirituality

Very interestingly written. I loved examples of Dr Weisse's case studies, how they relate to their past lives and current issues. He also gives advice on meditation, self-hypnosis, regression therapy, face reading. I would definitely recommend this book if you are interested in past life regression therapy and spirituality by a sound prominent therapist in the field. And his voice is very soothing to listen to.
