A light and funny book. Reminded me a bit of 'My Family and Other Animals ' by Gerald Durrell.
Unlike most books that start strong and often loose momentum this one starts a little slower but picks up.

I enjoyed this book way more than I expected. The author really does a good job of describing their experiences of their journey in a relatable and funny way. It is lovely to listen to them make their mistakes and feeling judged by their new community and how they deal with it by persisting to achieve their goal. It makes you want to go out and visit them!

Just browsing through some of the reviews and everybody who whines about the “vegan rant”: wake up! This man is just explaining why HE decided to go vegan and what that has meant for him and his lifestyle. If you think this is a rant, you clearly have never been on the receiving end of a rant before! Just because he makes a solid argument and you can’t deal with it, doesn’t mean you have to put him and his book down.

A friend reccomended the hard cover to me, so thought I would Audible it. I can see the “laugh out loud” moments, but I really think you would get more entertainment by reading it yourself. When listening to certain situations in the book, I think an imaginative visual rather than the actual audio you hear.....

Does that even make sense??? I just think it’s better hard cover than listening

Loved this book, the narration of the book made listening to these chapters more enjoyable. The tales or entertaining but one can picture these events as they seem so realistic.
Definitely worth a read / listen. Can't wait for the next book.
