Publisher's Summary

Think and Grow Rich is the number-one inspirational and motivational classic for individuals who are interested in furthering their lives and reaching their goals by learning from important figures in history. The text read in this audiobook is the original 1937 edition written by Napoleon Hill and inspired by Andrew Carnegie, and while it has often been reproduced, no updated version has ever been able to compete with the original. It has been used as a roadmap to achievement by countless individuals.

The 13 Steps to Riches described in this audiobook offer the shortest dependable philosophy of individual achievement ever presented for the benefit of the man or woman who is searching for a definite goal in life. It comes directly from the experiences of hundreds of America's most successful men.

Hill interviewed 504 people, including Ford, Wrigley, Wanamaker, Eastman, Rockefeller, Edison, Woolworth, Darrow, Burbank, Morgan, Firestone, and three United States presidents. The process of conducting these interviews required an investment of 20 years of Napoleon Hill's life.

This audiobook will guide many to success, and has sold millions of printed copies for nearly three quarters of a century. Yes, one can gather from the title that the starting place for wealth is in a person's thoughts - and this title is the source for most of today's motivational speakers. So why not go back to the original source?

Awesome!!

I have never written a review in my life and I definitely owe this book one...Napoleon Hill is true pioneer in self development. I like the honesty, the facts, and most of all the power of positive thinking. If anyone reading this wants joy in their life, please open the pages. This isn't just about getting rich in money, it's about getting rich in life!

Overall good book

The book is overall very good and has stood the test of time, displaying a vast amount of research and learning to be done by the reader. The only issue I would have with the book is it does tend to waffle at times. For example, as an Australian, having to listen to 2 whole chapters about how great and vastly superior America is to the rest of the world was quite deplorable, if you can get around this however, the book is fine and you can learn a lot from it.

Very disappointed!

I love to read up about personal finance. This book was continuously rated in the top 5 recommended books on the subject so i was excited to finally read/listen to it. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The book is just about the power of positive thinking and the law of attraction - that's it. There are better books out there.

Great stuff surrounded by dross

The book is well read and contains kernels of wisdom, but in order to hear the wisdom you need to wade through hours of new age mumbo jumbo.

"The Secret" re branded.

The belief he can will his son to overcome deafness by pure belief. Belief to the point he refused to teach him sign language or get him special assistance. Only finally able to hear with technology at 18 years old. The belief that affirmations and blind faith answer all.
Some occasional points of interest but largely a pile of positive affirmation and blind faith and the universe will provide. Send out positive vibrations and the universe will respond.

Odd but decent

Pretty alright if you look past the bit shout using telepathy and having meetings in your imagination with Napoléon and Jesus Christ. Bit weird, but still pretty good

Outdated

I'm sure this book may have been good once, but for me it is outdated and boring, just rambles on.

Some good points but rather outdated.

The book has some great points about mindset and the good qualities one needs to be successful but so much of his philosophy is outdated and I was irritated by his unjustified anti-religious stance.
