I feel a bit dumber now

Its shallow and contrived. It’s trashy. Sometimes that’s what you want. When you don’t want to think.

Lots of one dimensional descriptions about clothes and food, which I personally found childish.

Hmmmm

I found the reading annoying.

Awful. Just awful.

I honestly couldn’t make it through more than half of this book. A majority of it seems to be filled with filler like listing multiple things for a paragraph. The story itself is told through an unpalatable and jarring nonsensical timeline.

No. Just no.

I listened to the full story. The 9 year old Poppy was not believable. No 9 year old talks like that. Give this a miss.

Great Story

Really enjoyed this book. Whilst I picked what was going on very early, I enjoyed listening to it all play out.

Heartbreaking, compelling

Early on, I wanted to stop reading it. I have a daughter, after three sons, who's now eight. But I had to finish it. It's so well written; and, unfortunately, a storyline that can and has happened.

gob smacking

Then she was gone by Lisa Jewell. Where to start? Lorrell had lost her daughter 10 years Ago. She tried to finally move on with her life with this man she met in a coffee shop that makes her feel. But not everything is as it seems as she starts to unravel the clues about him.
This book had me firm in its claws. The first half of this book you think you have it all worked out but the second half was the author saying. But wait there more

Suspenseful thriller with a few big flaws

The suspense was great the entire way through, however the storyline had a lot of flaws that were not realistic enough.

Awesome read

The entire story kept me captivated from start to finish! The narrator was excellent and very easy to listen to. Highly recommend this audiobook.

Disappointing

I’d listened to a couple of other Lisa Jewell books on a recommendation and they weren’t amazing but kept me interested during long runs/commutes.
Unfortunately this story is ridiculous. The plot is somehow predictable and super far fetched at once, and the whole time I was thinking ‘surely not…’.
I was quite glad to get to the end.
In terms of audio book, the reading was not the best. The accents were awful and inconsistent.
Overall would not recommend.
