A Great Listen
Yet another delightful book by Lucy. She has this fantastic ability of seamlessly entwining her characters lives together without you really noticing. I wasn't sure about the narrator at the beginning but I quickly decided that she brought the book to life gently and effortlessly. Being laid up with a bad back I found the narration rather soothing and the story line, whilst a little predictable in places, was still a great listen. As I expected fabulous characters brought to life by Lucy, I can visualise them all! If your looking for a way to chillax and unwind I would certainly recommend finding a comfy chair, putting in your earphones, closing your eyes and then just listen. Perfect 😃

Very entertaining
Would you listen to The Year of Taking Chances again? Why?
If you like books that end with "The love of my life", this is for you. A classic chick lit and a great entertaining read for the summer. Not too much romance and a great deal of entrepreneurship. Throw in some fashion, a celebrity, a husband and an ex and it's a perfect mix. Will never read fortune cookies the same way again.

Pleasant!
Any additional comments?
This is a pleasant enough novel. It didn't really go anywhere though and was predictable. In the last few chapters, I was just wanting to get to the end, so I could move on to the next book, rather than care about what happened (never a good thing). I suppose that was due to it being a bit bland by then. Its worth noting that if I don't enjoy a book, I usually just discard it and move on. I didn't in this case because the characters were pleasent enough and I expected more to happen.

Absolutely Average Chit Lit
This audio book is very easy on the ears. I guess it would be perfect for listening on the beach or by the pool. It certainly doesn't ask anything of the listener and gives very little in return.
I will not be seeking anything else from this author or narrator.
