I liked the characters in the worst ship in the fleet. i only wished that we had more time with them.

This first instalment in the series is filled with fun and excitement. The narrator is outstanding. I’ve listened to the next three books and have loved them all. Great characters, exciting plots combined with a touch of humour.

The bones of a good story are here. Ideas to be explored, problems to be solved. But just when it starts getting good, it ends. All problems erased with multiple deus ex machinas. To set up what sounds like a completely different plot in the next book. Just unsatisfying.
