Very funny, a little bit yuck

My 6 year old son finds all three of The World's Worst Children very funny. He cackles with happiness at the absurd naughtiness of the children in the books.

However, as an adult, I have a very strong stomach. I can talk about corpses and autopsies over pudding but these books have actually made me dry retch - I can't be more specific, as each three have become just one long horror show of terrible parenting and terrible children, some with very physical habits, such as eating large balls of earwax. I would put some of the stories on a par with the film Dead Alive/Braindead by Peter Jackson for the pure and immediate revulsion factor.

On the plus side, there has been no discernible 'naughtifying' effect on my son either. He's still pretty darn good and doesn't eat his own earwax.

Disgustingly Funny

Your little monsters will be riveting by this hilarious tale of the most disgusting and obnoxious children in the world. Written and narrated by the very talented David Walliams - this is the audio book that puts an end to the bickering on those long car journeys!

The less liked of David Walliams books, so far.

It's nicely narrated as the other stories that we have listened to from the same author. Nevertheless we didn't finish listening to it because we didn't find the short stories interesting. They didn't capture our imagination (mine and my 11 year old boy). We didn't find it funny either (and we had laughed or giggled with some other of his books).

wackiest worst children stories are wonderful !

Raj and his introduction makes the best start to the book! I was smiling from the very beginning and the laughter continued throughout till the very end of the book. The narration and sound effects were brilliant as ever. Highly recommend this audio book. I love the way the author always has a moral to the story even if it is tongue in cheek.

Kids laughing out loud!

Bought this as something for my son (just 7) and daughter (just 5) to listen to on the plane/by the beach. Although I haven't listened to it personally, the children LOVED it. My son was asking to listen to this rather than go in the pool or on the beach! They both laughed out loud. If they're happy, I'm happy.

For both children and adults

My kids love the story and the sound effects. Me too. It gave us time to bond and laugh at l the naughty children. It was supposed to only be the first book, but now we have gone and gotten more. The simplicity of a children's book. The stories are short and hilarious. Try it for yourself.

Couldn't get past the narration

Found the narration by the author very difficult and trying to listen to. Lasted 30 minutes in the car before i turned it off to the annoyance of my children. Sorry David Williams!
