Wolf Hadda's life was a fairytale - successful businessman and adored husband. But a knock on the door one morning ends it all. Universally reviled, thrown into prison, Wolf retreats into silence. Seven years later Wolf begins to talk to the prison psychiatrist and receives parole to return home. But there's a mysterious period in Wolf's past when he was known as the Woodcutter. Really enjoyed this apart from a couple of terrible editing muck ups, shame this let down the whole experience.

A strong story with a great mix of characters and great plot but the narrator Jonathan Keeble well kudos to you this is possibly the best you’ve ever narrated
Honestly I’ll tell you now that I’m all in on a good narrator and Jonathan Keeble’s performance in this audible book was SUPERB 5star
I will definitely listen to this again and have no hesitation in listening to anything Jonathan Keeble reads

Listened to it, will go back now and read it. So good from every point of view in my 3P's : Place Plot People. What sucked me into Reginald Hill was On Beulah Heights, and this one is on a par. Lake District settings around Wasdale and Pillar were very familiar, and place/setting often takes priority for me. But in this case I was already into it.
More to Reginald Hill than just Dalziel and Pascoe, they are great, so...... !

One of his best!
