About this listen

A weak soul must not cultivate. Madness consumes the weak of mind. Eternal servitude awaits the weak of heart.

Su Fang arrives in a realm of cultivation unprepared—no skills, no knowledge, and no backing. Like everyone else in this new world, he is given a blessing from the Heavenly Dao to help him success, but Su Fang's blessing isn’t power over the elements or mastery of profound arts. No, it takes a brutal lesson to teach him that he’s been ‘blessed’ with repetition.

Every time he dies, he returns to the moment of his arrival. The young cultivator uses each reset to grind skills, refine his inner essence, and empower his very soul, using only the memories of countless failures. Each death is another lesson, each life another chance. Yet the world is ruthless, and time alone won’t be enough for Su Fang to make his mark; especially when every reset washes away not only his mistakes, but his triumphs.

In a land where even the strong perish, his fate is clear: he’s an immortal destined to die. Over and over.

this book is so frustrating, its a progression story where the main character refuses to learn any lessons or mentally progress in any meaningful way. he gets dumber and dumber as the book continues. DNR

timelooper that never learns

I have just finished the second book, and I do love time reset/time travel books. the concept of cultivation is a bit different than other books I have read but in a good way. The moral questions are, does past lives matter? how does karma affect your choices?

Great story, bad save button :)

There isn't a single point in this book, or any of the others in the series that feel good. The mc improves and all that, but it feels like he just takes loss after loss, and it is draining to listen to.

There is no time spent on anything fun, no good moments where we see him enjoy himself and the whole tone of the book is remarkably depressing. This is completely understandable for the first 12 or so hours because he's working to get out of the terrible conditions he's in, but by the third book its all just kinda sucks and is depressing to listen to.

a bit sad
