This was an extremely well written and engaging book. I loved the way the author used examples of people from all walks of life to illustrate her points. The narration was perfect. Both the material and narrator were very engaging.....I could not put the book down!

Great Book!

This was a truly enlightening read. I would recommend this book to any black person who would like to understand themselves better from a mental health perspective, and to any non-black person who is interested in understanding how the black people with whom they interact might be affected my factors such as micro aggressions or discrimination. I loved that the author not only gave an explanation of how black mental health has gotten to this state, but also equipped black individuals with strategies to help bolster our mental health. Awesome read!
