With little warning, a solar super flare erupts from the sun. A billion tons of superheated plasma hurtles through space toward Earth. That’s me done.
I read the first book, Great, wonderful, interesting concepts brought up and interesting world that was designed.
This book was just misery porn set in a vampire concentration camp. It seemed to abandon a bunch of the interesting ideas the last book had going for it, for a more boring “bad guy is bad” story

If only the story was as good as the narrator.....
This book, 2 of the series, is quite confusing and not as good as the first.
The narrator, however, does such a good job you stick with it and now I'm looking forward to the third instalment which, I am told, is as good as the first.

Loved It
I recently listened to Scott Brick narrate The Passage, loved that and was not disappointed by the next instalment, The Twelve. Brick does a fantastic job narrating and Justin Cronin has such a unique and fulfilling manner of storytelling, with beautiful writing, capturing what could be an all-too-told story into an an amazingly crafted, immerse experience. I'm yet to complete the trilogy, but The Passage trilogy is already my most highly recommended book in years.
