About this listen

I shouldn’t be here, and everyone knows it.

Blackbriar Academy is an enchanted school on a magical island, and everyone wants in. It’s a home away from home for the most advanced mages in the world - and only the absolute best of the best are given an invitation.

By some freak accident, I managed to get one.

If I pass the trials, I get to stay. With nowhere else to go, Blackbriar is my one shot at having a real life, and I won’t let anyone take this from me.

But there’s a catch.

It turns out the people on this island are being trained to hunt the darkness - basically, they’re being trained to hunt me.

To survive, I have to hide what I am. As a half-mage, I shouldn't have any magic at all. And yet, my natural abilities are almost impossibly powerful - and incredibly illegal. Over history, magic like mine has corrupted the souls of those who were born with it. They’ve all gone dark - razing towns and murdering hundreds of thousands throughout history.

All but me, and I have no idea why.

As the trials get more and more challenging, it’s clear I’m being hunted. If I’m caught - I die.

At Blackbriar Academy, nothing is ever as it seems...but I have nowhere else to go.

Nothing, and no one, will stand in my way.

The Trials of Blackbriar Academy is a full-length novel with a powerfully magical heroine, a riveting story line, and an alternative relationship dynamic that supports our badass heroine's right to choose more than one man. Get ready for a heart-pounding story filled with an academy fantasy romance unlike anything you’ve listened to before.

Buckle in for heart-pounding action, breathtaking magic, deadly assassins, four drop-dead gorgeous leading men, lots of toned muscles, and most importantly - a young woman’s journey of justice, self-discovery, and freedom.

Warning: The Blackbriar Academy saga is a reverse harem series with explicit scenes and is meant for mature listeners who enjoy spellbinding stories with a few very steamy, fan-your-face moments in their fantasy fiction.

Includes a special bonus note from the author.

What a great start to a new series. Some very different concepts introduced, yes it has some things similar to the Harry Potter series but very different as well. I am not always into reverse harem books but this one is done well. Look for ward to the series. The narrator was very good.

I really enjoyed this novel, it has great characters and an enjoyable plot line to follow. Adults only though. 🌶🌶🌶

Great Story

the book was alright. I didn't actually finish. I still have about 1/6 left but the author was too repetitive and dragged on conversations needlessly. I also felt irritated by the sudden change in character development with out any real reason for it. author has potential and her story idea was creative but unfortunately the end product was lacking. I look forward to her future books after she gets some foundation and practice at writing under her belt.

This was an awesome audiobook! This came with the plus catalogue so I decided to give it a go and I am really glad I did. The story is captivating and holds a to die for romance between one girl and four men. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who thinks they might like it. Enjoy!

Well I was hoping for a steamy RH. I had to wait until like chapter 32 or 33 for any action. So if you’re after a fairly wholesome RH intro I guess this’d be it. It was a fairly easy listen but the narration sounded stilted somehow. Especially with Milo. But overall a good book.

Hoping for RH

There are quite a few things that are so not believable. I did press the 30 sec fast forward heaps through out as some parts dragged on.

Someone said 50 shades of Harry Potter. Yes I agree, So much like Harry Potter. But no where near 50 shades. Yes she had thoughts and desires but 6hrs into the book before she kisses someone, yes there was a sex scene towards the end part and that was quite rushed for someone who was a slave from age 14 to 20 so you think, no experience. Yes she would want to act on them now but it needed more thought.
Wasn’t thrilled with the narration either

Thought it could be better

I love my Supernatural fiction as much as the next person, but we're supposed to believe that a girl that was kept prisoner from age 14 to 20 goes to a school with the sex drive of a 24 yr old who has been swiping right for 3 years? Give me a break. I couldn't get past it. So glaringly bad. Which is a shame because if the author had thought a bit more about her character, she might have written a hald decent book. The school "houses" and house "gnomes" are very contrived - it's 50 shades of Harry Potter. So if that's what you're after... You'll enjoy this.

How is this so well reviewed?
