Publisher's Summary

The third fantasy adventure in the Percy Jackson series is now available to download, complete and unabridged, on audio.

It's the last Friday before the winter holidays but Percy Jackson isn't at school: he's battling the fearsome Manticore (half human, half lion), which in itself isn't ideal . . . but with Annabeth missing and the goddess of the hunt held captive, things get a whole lot more serious . . .

Greek mythology relocated to modern-day America. Action-packed, funny, accessible writing for both boys and girls aged 10+. Perfect for fans of Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl.

a great read!

love mythology and heroes stories, this series is great!

my only qualms were that some voices were different than the previous two books. the most noticeable was Grover's, but I think Mr. D's was different too. overall though, still a great reading.

Titan’s Curse

An amazing & fun adventure. Entertaining yet informative novel. Have read the novels but listening to it - great voice - was another enjoyable form for this narrative.

It was all going great until...

the gratuitously stereotypical (and unnecessary) Asian accent for Mrs Chase. It was definitely a choice to do the accent. No-where in the book did it elude to the character having an accent. It was definitely in poor taste.

Brilliant

Would you listen to The Titan's Curse: Percy Jackson, Book 3 again? Why?

Yes, read the books first, then downloaded them to listen to while traveling. Even had my husband listening to them.

What did you like best about this story?

Perfect mixture of Greek history, wit, feelings of growing up...very clever and adventurous

What about Jesse Bernstein’s performance did you like?

expressive

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

They did make a film, and changed way too much of the plot. Still trying to work out why. Should have used the producers of 'Harry Potter'. The story is brilliant as is!

Any additional comments?

age range from 9 - 99!!

Adventure continues

Titans curse nicely expands the Percy Jackson world with more locations and characters.

However i personally was annonyed by some of the gods personalities and that brought the story down a bit for me.l

That being said the narration is still spectacular and Jesse Bernstein continues to shine.

Narrator lets down a great story

love the set of books have now got the entire set. Find them easy to follow. the only let down is the limited range of the narrator. It would be amazing if there was another narrator to pick from but it's not like it will stop me listening.

Very good

This book is very good, unlike some of the other books i have listened too, Jeese really expressed the characters, and they have different voices for each character, which is very good. There is not much to say about this book, i am not into gods and other things like that, but im more into fantasy like... grover! He is a goat boy type thing, which is a bit like one of those things from harry potter that is half human half horse. Anyway, overall great book and i love listening to them. Overall 5 stars because it is very good. Performance 5 stars because they express the characters. Story 2 stars because im more into fantasy and not gods

Terrible reading

The accents are so bad I want to stab my ears. Not since dick van dyke has someone made the English accent so unbearable. Fortunately, my boys like the stories tho.

AWFUL narrator and racist accents

I am so disgusted and disappointed. I already knew from the other books that the narrator is dreadful. He makes every female character sound whiny, he cannot do any accents correctly but this time he even did racist accents (i.e. Mrs Chase). I am disgusted by audible for this

Accents used awful

This story itself is patchy compared to previous.
One of the main characters is portrayed with a godawful "British" accent, so bad it brings a tear to my eye. Additionally several side characters are made to sound like they are dumb as a box of charred hair.
I want to get through this series but I am seriously struggling.

racist accents

Do NOT perform or try to perform 'ethnic' accents. The Pakistani kid with the awful accent and Ms. Chase deserve much better.

You're better off performing with NO accents rather than trying these offensive ones.

It makes listening to what is a really nice story incredibly grating.

Terrible accents

I wouldn't say the narrator is the best in the buisness when it comes to accents. But when he was doing annabeths mum's voice, I've never laughed so hard in my life
