Nesbo Hole Classic
So worth the wait. Harry Hole fans will not be dissapointed and Sean Barrett is such a talented reader. Every character is well defined and his rendition of Nesbo's words brings every facet of this book to life. It's so easy to visualise everything which at times can be quite disturbing. Be prepared to find yourself stopped in your tracks engrossed in the narrative. Took me twice as long to do my housework last weekend as I found myself just sitting or standing - engrossed.

Perfection
I don't write many reviews when I'm only halfway through an audiobook. But then again, this one will take me time, because when I hit that magic spot, that mesmerising, "In the zone" place, I will sometimes pause the book, just to savour a passage. Stop. Run through what I just heard (in my head). Marvel at how brilliant it was. And then carry on...
I have a pantheon of narration superheroes: Dick Hill, Will Patton, and the like ... and Sean Barrett. The masters of audiobook narration who breathe Life into print.
And when you match him with a writer like Jo Nesbo, the title I gave my review becomes an understatement.
Sure, Harry Hole is my kind of... hero?... anti-hero? ... like Jack Reacher, Harry Bosch, Dave Robichaux. Taciturn, serious, dogged as they pursue the perpetrators of extreme evil, shaking aside their own demons.
Their creators build finely-crafted worlds populated by finely-wrought characters - and then these narrators bring them to life - and turn them over to *your* imagination.
That is perfection, and this book is just another example of it. I think Jo Nebo is at the very summit of the glibly-labeled (but appropriately!) Scandi-noir authors. You walk through cold, damp, darkness along with the protagonists, enjoying every scene.
It is bloody marvelous indeed.

Haunting
Harry - you keep delivering!! I found this one comforting at times and had to switch off as the suspense was at such a high! Once I’d listened though I did giggle as I realised I’d been managed… loved it. Maybe even the best in the series…

Gripping story
Great story with Harry Holes again. These series are awesome and well thought-out but it’s was extremely hard to figure out the characters. It flicked between them often and I personally never got a grasp on the individuals well. Overall story was really good though
