Gracie Burton is a grandmother living quietly in Devon. She has rarely left the village over the past 40 years. Near perfect from the first sentence. A gentle story, beautifully narrated, that captures very relatable character,letting each of them grow as the plot unwinds. Humour, tears, self reflection and warmth and a few twists all wrapped up in a touching story of love.

I loved the characters and the human advise given to today’s problems of getting on with all the characters in our own lives.

Really enjoyed this story! Unfortunately the narration didn’t match it and it very nearly made me return this book. The different character voices nearly all sounded extremely elderly, even the younger ones.
