Weak and Unbelievable
While having a few interesting characters, the end of this book is totally preposterous! Washing a haute couture outfit in a river to get rid of bloodstains and then returning to the gathering wearing it without ever being missed???? Done with this series.

The Teatime Mystery
I have been reading/listening to this mystery series and as normal thoroughly enjoyed this murder mystery and the way Jenny Starling helped to solve it, along with the delightful Inspector. The characters become so alive and I enjoy them so much. Looking forward to reading my next one. The narration is excellent.

It was okay as a light listen
i only enjoy these as a gentle story between heavier or meatier reads. I found this one more grating than the previous books in the series. There's an immaturity to the character (wanting to cook a BBQ despite grizzly murder etc) that starts off as quite endearing but bulldozes it's way to irritating. It's a cosy type accidental detective piece. Its not supposed to be super serious and I never try to listen to them in that way but I found this one a bit too ludicrous at times. Even so... it was reasonably well narrated and a decent enough listen to fill some time.
