Such a well crafted story, I found myself so frustrated with the naive and soft characters. However it is a testament to the quality of writing that I was completely immersed in the tale, however frustrating the neat ending was!

The story set in Wales, based is around Beth, her daughter Caris and Luke a gold digger, who was married to Beth for a couple of years and got nothing when they divorced. 27 years older than Caris he gets her pregnant and marries her in an attempt to take revenge on her mother. So many twists and revelations make this a hard to put down story.

The story wasn’t bad and the narration was good and easy to listen, but the whiney daughter was irritating. Stupid spoilt child.

The narrators did a superb job portraying a cool, calm and calculating mother of a spoilt, selfish, wining daughter, a mother who would do anything for the child she longed for. Maybe a few too many twists.

I would give 4.5 if possible. Doesn’t quite rate a 5 but definitely more than 4.
The story was a little far fetched but hey, it is fiction! The characters were interesting, the narration was good, but those twists and turns, juicy! Worth a read.
